Some Accomplishments During The Past Two Years

Currently serving the remaining two years of Jane Williams term and actively dealt with major issues (see Below). Elected to the Council in 1994 and 1998 - worked to update the General Plan, implement Road Program (which had been neglected) helped integrate Powder Canyon open space into the city, purchased City Hall property from the School District and returned city to a secure financial position.

Led the recruitment of a new qualified City Attorney offering reasonable rates, after discovering our city paid 25% more than other cities.

Moved the installation of Avocado Crest signal forward, scheduled to begin in early 2025.

Recovered $500,000 that the city was close to forfeiting (earmarked for storm drains and street debris removal) under the LA County Measure W assessment.

Established a Code Compliance committee and funded inspector for safety and property value preservation. Working with staff on FEMA claims for storm damage reimbursement and potential mitigation.

Successfully reopened the City Hall post-CoVid lockdown; pursued enhancement of the City Website and Guac Talk online newsletter to better inform and engage residents.
